2022 Domaine Charles Audoin "Les Longeroies"
Marsannay, Côte d’Or, Burgundy, France

The aroma that wafts from a glass of this Pinot is alone enough to understand why the “Les Longeroies” vineyard, like the “Clos du Roy” we offered in June, is on a short list to be one of the first Premier Crus recognized in Marsannay.
This wine’s seductive aromatics are dominated by deep crimson roses, pomegranate, and a mix of cherries and raspberries fresh from the farmer’s market. Audoin’s hallmark balance of elegance and power is also on full display, with velvety tannins enveloping a wine with deep, earthy roots.
This wine is quite giving from the instant you pull the cork, but we recommend allowing it to breathe as you take your time enjoying the first glass, as air will further accentuate the enchanting aromas and mouthfeel.
Earning this impressive 96-point review from James Suckling, the 2022 Les Longeroies showcases the immense talent of Cyril Audoin, offering a near perfect intersection of quality and value!
“Wonderfully open and enticing with great sour-cherry fruit, this exudes generosity and succulence that’s hard to resist. Ample, fine tannins are already perfectly integrated on the medium- to full-bodied palate. Very long, generous yet precise finish. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.”
- 96 Points, James Suckling (7/23/2024)
Here is a wine that is delicious now and will drink beautifully for at least the next 10 years. What’s more, it arrived in the States prior to the recent tariff situation. We are thrilled to be able to offer a wine of this caliber that proves that, while it is VERY hard to find, value can still exist in Burgundy!

Two More Wines from Audoin!
One of the most daunting challenges in the present-day wine world is finding Burgundy of exceptional quality that doesn’t break the bank. Longtime fans of the region remember when even the Grand Cru wines were affordable for mere mortals. While those new to wine and wanting to learn more about one of the world’s preeminent wine regions are often turned off by the seemingly high price of entry, there are still pockets of Burgundy that can offer both extreme pleasure and extreme value.
Enter Cyril Audoin of Domaine Charles Audoin and his stable of wines from Marsannay. Burgundy’s northernmost wine region, Marsannay’s star has risen dramatically in recent years, thanks in large part to winemakers like Cyril. One of the region’s brightest talents, his Burgundies are consistently full, rich, balanced, and bursting with all the classic Pinot Noir notes we love!
2023 Domaine Charles Audoin Rosé
Marsannay, Côte d’Or, Burgundy, France

Marsannay is the only commune in Burgundy whose Rosé has been granted its own AOC status. Today, we are very excited to offer Audoin’s noteworthy 2023 Marsannay Rosé. This gastronomic wine is 100% Pinot Noir, and it has a tantalizing intensity and tension that kept us returning to our glasses sip after sip.
Bursting from the glass are notes of both ripe and unripe strawberries along with red currants and a balanced saline minerality following beautifully on the finish.
Lovely on its own, it also will work oh-so well with summer salads, grilled chicken and fish. In the unlikely case you can keep your hands off your bottles until November, this will be a smash hit with your Thanksgiving feast!

2022 Domaine Charles Audoin Bourgogne Rouge,
Côte d’Or, Burgundy, France

Balanced and pure, with the stuffing to satisfy those who enjoy a little heft in their Pinots, this delightful Burgundy really got our blood going. From the moment we popped the cork, it was delicious, and it gets even more integrated and more complex with air.
This rich, deep, and seductive red comes from Cyril's half-century old Pinot Noir vines in Marsannay. In the 2022 growing season, their fruit sings powerfully. There's an uncommonly dense mouthfeel here, with enticing dark berry and black currant fruit flavors. Alluring notes of black truffle and a subtle meatiness further add to the sophistication.
The character and completeness here will appeal to new and old world Pinot Noir lovers alike. And, the price is right. At our beats-every-listing-in-the-country price, this is one for Burgundy lovers to snap up by the six-pack.
