2022 Ridge "Geyserville"
Alexander Valley, North Coast, California
~~~~~~~~~~~
Made continually since 1966, this soul-stirring red is the single wine that is most responsible for making Ridge the American legend that it is today. Think about the great red blends that have been making such a stir in the past few years. Ridge has been perfecting this kind of wine for nearly six decades!
In addition to this excellent review from Dunnuck, the 2022 Geyserville has earned 94-Point ratings from Wine Spectator, Wine Advocate, Vinous and Decanter. Plus, a 97-Point score from Tom Lee's Zinfandel Chronicles!
"A normal Zinfandel-dominated blend of 67% Zinfandel, 20% Carignan, 10% Petite Sirah, and the rest Mataro, the 2022 Geyserville sports a healthy ruby/plum hue (it's semi-opaque) as well as a rocking nose of ripe plums, blackberries, roasted herbs, pepper, and violets. It's beautifully textured on the palate and has medium to full-bodied richness, a deep, layered mid-palate, and perfectly ripe tannins. It's a beauty, as well as one of the standouts in the lineup in 2022. Don't miss it.”
- 95 Points, Jeb Dunnuck (8/22/2024)
2022 Ridge "Estate" Cabernet Sauvignon
Santa Cruz Mountains, Central Coast, California
~~~~~~~~~~~
Sourced entirely from Ridge's famous Monte Bello Vineyard, this hand-harvested, organically grown wine was fermented with wild yeasts and raised entirely in American oak, a hallmark of Ridge wines. Earning this 97-Point review, it is an old-school California classic!
“Blending 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Petit Verdot and 5% Merlot, and lovingly referred to as Baby Monte Bello, designated as Monte Bello since the 2008 vintage, the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Monte Bello Vineyard is known for its weightlessness, made to be approachable in its youth with great intention. Barrel-aged for 17 months in 50-60% new oak to integrate and soften the tannins, it still has another 15-20 years of aging, if not 25. Maturity: 2025 - 2050.”
- 97 Points, Jeb Dunnuck (4/1/2025)
As with all of today's wines, our supply is quite limited. Grab a six-bottle case and drink over the coming two decades!

2023 Ridge "Estate" Chardonnay
Santa Cruz Mountains, Central Coast, California
~~~~~~~~~~~
As with the Cabernet Sauvignon, the fruit for this remarkable Chardonnay comes exclusively from the famed Monte Bello Vineyard. Our supply here is even more limited!
“The 2023 Chardonnay Estate is a unicorn wine, with the acids naturally occurring with ease in this cool, long, extended growing season that the wine world is rightfully excited about, producing wines of tremendous elegance and balance, sourced entirely from Monte Bello Estate. The minerality is off the charts, exuberantly defining the wine after a barrel fermentation of nine months on the lees in 85% American and 15% French oak, 15% of it new. Gorgeously lengthy and bright, winemaker John Olney recommends that for primary fruit, it's best to drink through the first 7-8 years; for fans of later-aging wines, wait 20 years. I adore this wine. Maturity: 2025 - 2045.”
- 100 Points, Jeb Dunnuck (4/1/2025)
