As we told you a few weeks ago, the Aquilini family has pulled the plug on their premium Red Mountain winery. Last go around, we brought you an epic price on their A56 red blend. Today, we bring you the crown jewel!

"It's clearly one of the finest Cabernet Sauvignons in the vintage."
- Jeb Dunnuck, June 2023

Crafted by no other than Phillipe Melka, the 2019 Aquilini "Eroe" Cabernet Sauvignon sold at the winery for $175. We struck a deal on the remaining inventory and bring it to you today for $45.99. Totally. Freaking. Crazy.

2019 Aquilini “Eroe" Cabernet Sauvignon
Red Mountain, Columbia Valley, Washington
~~~~~~~~~~~~
We first tasted this wine in early 2025. Had we bought it then, our price would’ve been at least $100 more than today!
When we learned Aquilini was closing, we asked for another sample. It was GORGEOUS. We made a crazy offer, did a bit of negotiating, then bought it all.
Crafted by legendary Napa winemaker Philippe Melka, the 2019 Eroe can hang with the best $200 Napa Cabs. Powerful and elegant, this luxury Red Mountain Cabernet is incredibly complex, suave, and deliciously packed with black fruits, tobacco, coffee, deftly-nuanced oak, exotic spice and volcanic earth.
Silky and impressively structured, it is drinking great and will only gain in complexity and beauty over time. We are a strong 95 Points. Jeb Dunnuck and Wine Advocate go even higher. Epic stuff here.
97 Points, Jeb Dunnuck:
(6/14/2023) “The flagship from this up-and-coming estate is the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Eroe, a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the estate on Red Mountain. Its deep purple hue gives way to a thrilling array of crème de cassis, crushed stone, lead pencil, and hints of sagebrush. With classic Red Mountain minerality, full body, ripe yet polished tannins, and a grand, concentrated, regal profile, it's clearly one of the finest Cabernet Sauvignons in the vintage. It's approachable today yet will benefit from 2-5 years of bottle age and, I suspect, have 30 years or more of longevity. Maturity: 2025 - 2058.”
95+ Points, Wine Advocate:
(5/11/2023) “Deep, brooding and firm, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon EROE is opaque, black-fruited and dusty with a generous nose that overflows from the glass with notions of crème de violette, elegant brown baking spices and a firm rocky dustiness at its core. Full-bodied and with 14.9% alcohol on the label, the wine is still primary and firm with tight tannins that will allow it to age gracefully for 20 years or more. Give it another 18 to 24 months in the cellar before opening, and I recommend decanting it for at least one hour before enjoying your first glass. You’ll be tempted to open this bottle far before it’s time, but those who are patient will indeed be rewarded. Bravo! Drink Date: 2025 - 2039.”
The Aquilini family sold this for $175. Looking online we found a single listing at $130. This is the kind of opportunity we dream about. Click fast, and stock up big!
