==========
2020 Domaine Bachey-Legros "Clos Rousseau" 1er Cru
Santenay, Burgundy, France
~~~~~~~~~~~
Based in the quaint Burgundy commune of Santenay, brothers Lénaïc and Samuel Legros are the sixth generation to make wine under their family label.
They harvested this absolutely gorgeous Pinot Noir from their two parcels in the 1er Cru “Clos Rousseau” vineyard, using vines up to 70 years of age. Fleshy, with a wonderfully forward approach, it shows dark cherry overtones with complex notes of cassis, coffee, baking spice, and earth. Featuring soft grip, brisk tension, and layer after layer of pleasure and sophistication, it a quite lovely bottle of Burgundy.
This 2020 bottling has been stored in the importer's temperature controlled warehouse since it was released from the winery. Earning 94 points on the Vin Chicago scale, it is drinking great and will continue to develop and evolve for many years.
We found no online listings for the this vintage. Prices for the 2022 range from $65 to $95. We snagged the last few cases from our importer's warehouse at a discounted price, and are passing the savings on to you!
