~ Sizzling California Cabernet ~

2021 Mount Eden "Domaine Eden" Cabernet Sauvignon
Santa Cruz Mountains, California
~~~~~~~~~~~
This bottling from Mount Eden is one of our absolute favorites in all of California. Earning a hugely enthusiastic 94-Point rating from our team, and this BOOMING writeup from Vinous, it is a deliciously structured classic that beats Napa at its own game. Typical online price is $52. Today, it's included in the Quick Pick!
"Absolutely seductive and sizzling, stacked floor to ceiling with intriguing layers that just need some time to coalesce. Cooling mint, black raspberry, juniper, leather and high-percentage dark chocolate open gradually, unfurling into a soft-textured, caressing, broad wine of sheer class. Oak is very much at the forefront for now, but the juicy freshness and old-school/new-school juxtaposition are really appealing.”
- 94 Points, Vinous (9/2024)
~ 96-Point Chardonnay ~
2024 Apollo's Praise "Lahoma Vineyard" Chardonnay
Seneca Lake, New York
~~~~~~~~~~~
In only their third vintage of operation, Kelby Russell and Julia Rose Hoyle have earned a rocking 96-point review for their beautiful single-vineyard Chardonnay. At the winery its $32. In today's Quick Pick, you get it alongside eleven other winners for one special price!
"Joyful and juicy but also concentrated and very precise, this is a stunning cool-climate chardonnay. Brimming with sliced pear, white peach and white flower aromas. The delicate oak is already beautifully integrated on the mouth-filling yet only medium-bodied palate. Then comes a wave of toasted hazelnut flavor in the very long and super-silky finish."
-96 Points, James Suckling (6/23/2025)
~ Chillable Red Exclusive ~

2025 Field Recordings "Pizza Nights" Gamay
Central Coast, California
~~~~~~~~~~~
Andrew Jones, proprietor of Field Recordings, is one of the most tireless people in the wine business. He started making "Pizza Nights" as a house wine for Talula's, a hipster pizza joint on the Jersey Shore. When we visited him earlier in the year in Paso Robles, he offered a few cases of this 100% Gamay to us.
We tasted it, loved it and snapped them up. Selling for $25 at the winery, it offers juicy red fruit flavors that are bright, fun and super glou-glou. Put this in the fridge an hour before opening, and serve on a hot summer night with a hot pizza or just about anything. As far as we can tell, we're the only ones outside the winery and Talula's to have this!
~ A Final Gift from Aquilini ~
2024 Aquilini Sauvignon Blanc
Red Mountain, Washington
~~~~~~~~~~~
As many of you know, the Aquilini family made the difficult decision at the end of last year to close down their operation in Washington State's Red Mountain district. Over the past few months, we brought you a bunch of their powerful reds. Our final gift from them is this intense, tiny-production Sauvignon Blanc. At the winery it was $35. Today, it's included in the pack!
"Just like Gizmo in 'Gremlins,' the acidity of this wine will have your palate yelling, 'bright lights, bright lights.' The blitzkrieg begins with aromas of white peaches, guava and yes, the ubiquitous gooseberry. Flavors of lychee, white grapefruit and white pepper are then amplified by acidity so brisk, it will make the mouth of the person sitting across from you water."

~ Classic Provence Rosé ~

2024 Domaine Bunan Bandol Rosé
Provence, France
~~~~~~~~~~~
Home to Domaines Tempier, Ott and Gros' Noré, the Bandol region of Provence is the most lauded of this famous Rosé producing zone.
For your summer enjoyment, we've included this organically farmed blend of 54% Cinsault, 31% Mourvèdre and 15% Grenache in the Quick Pick. From a family winery rooted back to 1961, it is a classic, powerful Provence Rosé with the Mourvèdre delivering structure and intrigue and the Cinsault adding shimmer. Median online retail is $28. Today, it's part of the Pack!
~ A Pair of All-Purpose Reds ~
2021 Zenato Valpolicella Superiore
Veneto, Italy
~~~~~~~~~~~
From Zenato, this any-day-of-the-week red is a moreish overachiever. From one of the region's greatest vintages, it goes with just about everything!
"Good Superiore. Polished and contemporary, without quite hitting the sour, red fruited notes of the better traditionalists. Shows dark fruit and reductive hints of violets and camphor, with well-managed grape tannins and oak. Quite drinkable. Drink or hold."
-90 Points, James Suckling (3/26/2024)

2023 J. Portugal Ramos "Ramos Reserva" Red
Alentejo, Portugal
~~~~~~~~~~~
Another red for all occasions, this spicy red from João Portugal Ramos is juicy and ripe with lots of fruit forwardness. Pour this easygoing red to anyone, and drink it on its own or paired with just about anything. A very appealing all-purpose Portuguese red from winemaker whose middle name literally is Portugal!
"A fine, beautifully crafted wine with ripe tannins and jammy red fruits. With its red berry aroma and its juicy acidity, it is developing well. Drink from 2026."
-90 Points, Wine Enthusiast (7/1/2025)
~ Two All-Purpose Whites ~
2024 Tiefenbrunner Vigneti delle Dolomiti Pinot Grigio
Dolomites, Italy
~~~~~~~~~~~
Forget the big-brands, this tingly, mineral-tinged bottling is what Pinot Grigio is all about! You'll find yellow orchard and citrus fruits here that are beautifully complemented by a crisp spine.
Soft and mouthwatering, with real texture, the versatility of this wine spans the gamut. Typical online retail is $21. On our scale, this is a solid 90 points. Wine Spectator's notes are spot-on.
“Ripe nectarine, apricot and white cherry fruit flavors are set in this lithe, lively white. There's an underpinning of stony mineral, while accents of green almond, white blossoms and ground ginger add subtle complexity and fragrance through the finish. Drink now.”
- 89 Points, Wine Spectator (3/31/2026)

2022 Darting Riesling Kabinett
Pfalz, Germany (1.0 liter)
~~~~~~~~~~~
When was the last time you enjoyed a classic off-dry Riesling? With its yellow and green citrus flavors along with peach, white flowers and crunchy acidity, this bottling from Darting is so ridiculously yummy.
At 10.5% ABV, this is a perfect choice for spicy Thai food, sipping on the patio and a whole bunch more. It's so good that they put in an extra large 1.0 liter bottle! This playful white will make many friends, amount both casual and serious wine lovers.
~ Versatile Summer Bubbly ~
Tenuta Santomè "Extra Dry" Prosecco NV
Treviso, Italy
~~~~~~~~~~~
With just a hint of Prosecco sweetness to round out the acidity, this "Extra Dry" bottling from Santomè is quite refreshing, with notes of green apple, lemon, and - as the winemaker says - spring blossoms.
A major upgrade over the ubiquitous Prosecco that you'll find at the grocery store, this is an excellent choice for cocktails and, even better, by itself as an aperitivo!
~ The Perfect Partner for BBQ ~

2022 Pikes "Los Compañeros" Shiraz/Tempranillo
Clare Valley, Australia
~~~~~~~~~~~
This supple Clare Valley red is an unusual blend of 90% Syrah with 10% Tempranillo. Featuring rich plum fruit and spice, there is not a hard edge to be found. Despite only composing a small part of the blend, the Tempranillo enhances with tobacco notes, vibrant acidity and red berry tones. From a great high-elevation vineyard in the Clare Valley, located across from the famed Polish Hill River Estate, this is a great all-arounder for chillaxin' with BBQ.
~ 93-Point Bordeaux Classic ~
2022 Château Moulin Haut-Laroque
Fronsac, Bordeaux, France
~~~~~~~~~~~
After seeing the hot Wine Spectator review for this classic Bordeaux red, we reached out to our importer and arranged for a few dozen cases to be brought in for us. Wine Spectator quotes $35. Today, it is the final wine in our Quick Pick Pack!
"A nicely buried chalky spine lets fleshy-edged notes of black currant and black cherry lead the way. Light alder, chestnut and savory accents underscore the finish and lend an old-school hint. Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec. Best from 2026 through 2035."
-93 Points, Wine Spectator (12/5/2024)
