The 2023 Roserock Pinot is Here, and it ROCKS!

The 2023 Roserock Pinot is Here, and it ROCKS!

Boasting a gorgeous balance of fruit, spice, tension, and structure, this supple Eola-Amity Hills Pinot Noir from the Drouhin family begs the question...

Does it beat their family's Burgundy at its own game?

Let's not beat around the bush. The answer is a definitive YES. You'd be lucky if you could find a 94-Point Burgundy with this kind of character, plushness and overall drinking experience for twice the price!

It was no accident that the 2022 Roserock took home the #6 spot on Wine Spectator's 2024 "Top 100" list. Earning an equally emphatic 94-Point review, today's 2023 bottling has now been released, and it is drinking even better at this point than its predecessor.

Read on to learn why we love the 2023 Roserock so much, and for a 97-Point masterpiece from Jim Maresh, than click fast on that Big Green Button to get in on Pinot Noir magic!

2023 Drouhin Oregon "Roserock" Pinot Noir
Eola-Amity Hills, Willamette Valley, Oregon
~~~~~~~~~~~
Supple, substantive, and totally gorgeous from the first sip, you'll have a smile on your face from the moment you pop the cork of the 2023 Roserock. There is a ton of Pinot Noir goodness here, and you are going to love it!
"Impeccably structured yet sleekly elegant."
- Wine Spectator, March 2025
We’ve been big fans of the Drouhin family's Eola-Amity Hills estate for the best part of a decade. Over this period, the vines have gained maturity and their already excellent wines have become even more impressive. And they have held the line on pricing, making this one of the most exciting Pinot Noir values on the planet.
Give a few swirls then kick back and enjoy blue fruit inflections atop an oozing core of fresh-squeezed ripe raspberry. With notes of smoldering dark earth, cranberry, orange zest, black tea, and savory green herbs adding complexity, this wine will hold your interest all night long!
We sense even more passion and excitement in Wine Spectator's 94-Point review for this vintage than in the notes they wrote for last year's bottling, a wine that went on to win the #6 overall spot on their 2024 Top 100 list.
"Impeccably structured yet sleekly elegant, with raspberry and blueberry flavors accented by savory tea, stony mineral and dusky spice notes as this gathers tension toward fine-grained tannins. Drink now through 2033."
          - 94 Points, Wine Spectator (3/5/2025)
Wine Spectator quotes this beauty at $44. It's a VERY good value at that price, and an absolute slam-dunk at ours. There is a massive amount of Pinot Noir excellence going on here!
2021 Arterberry Maresh "Weber Vineyard" Pinot Noir
Dundee Hills, Willamette Valley, Oregon
~~~~~~~~~~~
This vaunted Weber Vineyard bottling from Jim Maresh is among the absolute best wines in all of Oregon, regardless of price. Earning 97 Points from Wine Advocate, and the utmost respect from our own Mike Baker, it will offer a thrill every time you pull a bottle from your cellar!

"The 2021 Pinot Noir Weber Vineyard comes from vines planted in the 1970s and is highly expressive this year, pairing concentration and detail. It has a medium ruby color and alluring, feral aromas: wafts of iron, tar and game meats complement a deep core of briary fruit, and it takes its time in the glass to unfold to higher-toned notes of potpourri. Light-bodied, it's nuanced and detailed, opening to bursts of blood orange and bitters flavors as it moves through the mouth. It has abundant, powdery tannins, mouthwatering acidity and a flourish of spice across the finish. The Weber is already impressive, but it will offer even more after 5-8 years in bottle. Drink Date: 2025 - 2040."
