The 99-Point, $64.79 Heitz Cellar Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon!

A 99-Point Napa Valley Cabernet from a cult producer for under sixty-five bucks? Yep!
Founded 65 years ago in the St. Helena district of Napa Valley, Heitz Cellar is one of California's most iconic wineries.
In 2021 they achieved near perfection, earning 99 Points from Decanter Magazine. Impressively, it was not their $300 "Martha's Vineyard" bottling that bagged this hot score, but the regular Heitz Cellar Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Today, we bring you this wine for just $64.79.

2021 Heitz Cellar Cabernet Sauvignon
Napa Valley, California
~~~~~~~~~~~
Pouring an opaque ruby color with purple-black streaks, this beautiful, dark Cabernet coats the glass walls with an impressive viscosity. On the nose and in the mouth, it is classic Napa, offering cassis, blackberry, coffee bean, green tobacco, pepper, vanilla and nuanced oak flavors.
The harmonious palate gives pleasure and excites structurally, showing excellent lift, medium-plus tannins and a taut, long, deliciously complex finish. Earning 94 points on our scale, it is a great bottle of Cabernet. Awarding 99- and 94-point ratings, Decanter Magazine and Wine Spectator write...
“Remarkably pure and fresh. Pristine black cherry and blackberry, layered with beautiful violet aromas. Everything builds with precision and focus, supported by gorgeously firm, taut, mineral-rich tannins that bring energy and drive. The wine is compact and tightly wound at this youthful stage, its intensity truly emblematic of the vintage. Drinking Window: 2026 - 2060.”
- 99 Points, Decanter (3/19/2025)
“Ripe, fresh and focused, with a lovely beam of red currant plum coulis that stretches out alongside hints of savory, violet, tobacco and singed cedar. Finishes with a late twang of iron. Nicely done. Drink now through 2038.”
- 94 Points, Wine Spectator (11/15/2025)
