This Unique Matthew Fioretti Red Normally Goes for $37. Today it's $23.99!

Winemaker Matthew Fioretti crafts thrillingly precise and luxurious reds at Cerbaiona, one of the most exciting houses in Montalcino. Production here is quite small, and we are thrilled today to bring you a few cases of his gorgeous 2020 Brunello di Montalcino.

The top wine of his estate, it totally melted our minds, earning an almost unheard of 97-Point score from our team. Simply put, we flipped over this one and think that you will too.

This pinnacle red, however, is just a bonus wine in today's offering. Leading off today is an impressive Super Tuscan that Matthew makes as a side project under the M.L. Fioretti label. Savory and silky, this soft and deeply flavorful blend of Petit Verdot and Ancellota sells at other stores for $37 or more. Today, thanks to a little Vin Chicago magic, we are letting this seductive limited production gem fly for 35% below the next best listing!

Read on for our notes on both of these beauties, then hit the Big Yellow Button to grab a few bottles...

2019 M.L. Fioretti "P.V.D." Toscana Rosso
Tuscany, Italy
~~~~~~~~~~~
Using fruit from the Cerbaiona estate, Fioretti bottles this elegant Super Tuscan under his own name, allowing him the freedom to experiment and innovate.
His 2019 "P.V.D." is a blend of 58% Petit Verdot and 42% of the obscure Ancelotta varietal. Drinking like a Right Bank Bordeaux with a Tuscan accent, this six-year-old red has incredible fruit purity, bright freshness and beautifully soft tannins. The texture of this wine alone is worth the price of admission!
Add in the vibrant notes of wild red berries, cassis, cherry and currants, plus savory accents of red flowers, soy, balsamico and olives, and the result is something truly unique and delicious. We are a strong 92+ points on this special bottling and encourage you to pair it with all versions of pasta and red sauce, grilled salmon, lamb sausage or to enjoy it all by itself.
Looking online, the best price we found was $36.94 at a well-known retailer in New York. We are thrilled today to be able to offer you his artisan Tuscan to you today for a full 35% less. Grab a few bottles or a six-bottle case to drink now and over the next 3 to 5 years!
Plus the Awesome 2020 Vintage of Fioretti's Cerbaiona Brunello!
2020 Cerbaiona Brunello di Montalcino
Tuscany, Italy
~~~~~~~~~~~
When Matthew Fioretti purchased the legendary Cerbaiona estate in 2015, he really flipped the script. Knowing that the terroir is what made Cerbaiona so special, he made a massive investment in the vineyards and cellar, transforming the house style from one of rusticity and oxidative earthiness to one of deep color, fruit purity and high pitched precision - all while honoring the specialness to his Montalcino landscape.

This gorgeous wine is a perfect example of modern Tuscany. Stylized without pretense, velvety and sophisticated, the 2020 Cerbaiona is incredibly compact with beautifully pure Sangiovese fruit, Montalcino earth and an elevated winemaking structure that must be tasted to be fully understood.

With hauntingly layered flavors that seemingly go on forever and a Chambolle-like allure, this earns a 97-point score on our scale. There's only a handful of times over the past 20 years we've given a score so high. If you're not falling in love with this wine, we're not sure what else we can say. It is glorious!

Median online retail is $227. As usual, our price is less. Approachable now, this structured Brunello will only get better in your cellar over the next 15 to 20 years.
