What We Think
Vin Chicago: 92 Points
(12/2025) Any fan of off-dry Chenin Blanc should grab a bottle of this enchanting Petit Manseng from Charles Hours in the Jurançon region of Southwest France! The grapes for this cuvée are left to dry slightly on the vine to concentrate sugars and flavors and are then hand harvested over several passes through the vineyard. One of most remarkable aspects of this wine is the interplay between the residual sugar and the high acidity of the Petit Manseng grape - this wine tastes rich rather than sweet. The wine has alluring aromas of peach, orange blossom and marzipan. It will pair wonderfully with white meats, Asian fare, and white cheeses and is also delicious on its own!
