(7/3/2024) From a vineyard located in Nun's Canyon on the western side of the Mayacamas range, Di Costanzo picked the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Charlie Smith Vineyard a couple of weeks later than nearby Montecelio Vineyard. On the nose, it offers up cool, minty aromas, with some cassis and black cherries. It's reminiscent of the winery's Caldwell Vineyard bottling on the nose, but it's full-bodied and rich on the palate, generous, concentrated and long, with hints of licorice on the tannic but ripe finish. Drink Date: 2027 - 2045.

(12/2023) The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Charlie Smith Vineyard is a heady, potent Moon Mountain Cabernet. What a wine! Inky, dark and explosive, with grippy tannins and exceptional balance, the 2021 is so impressive. Graphite, cured meat, tobacco, lavender and chocolate are all dialed up to the maximum in this dense, flavorful Cabernet. Drinking Window: 2027 - 2041.
