(7/2025) While the Languedoc isn't known as a hotbed for Pinot Noir production, perhaps if more wineries achieved the level of this beauty there, it would be! The price/quality ratio of this wine is insane! The wine's name, 'Tâcherons,' is a tribute to the farm workers who perform the most meticulous tasks in the vines. The vineyards here are at breezy higher altitudes, around 350 meters, in the foothills of the Pyrenees, with big diurnal temperature shifts. The grapes are allowed a long maturation, which leads to perfect ripeness. Fresh cherry, red and black raspberry, black currant, and black tea notes abound, mixed with a very subtle touch of oak and light tannins on the finish.
