(7/2025) A low ABV, dry Portuguese red that backs in heaps of color and big tastes within a fun, chillable frame. Channeling the seldom-seen Sezão grape, this purple-tinted wine is a small, 600 case production from hand-harvested grapes grown on granitic soils, then vinified with carbonic maceration. Sounds more than a little like Beaujolais! Toting a good concentration of flavors (think wild-fermenting brambleberries, herb-steeped plums and crème de fraise) with just 11% ABV and a bit of spritz that might have you thinking of Lambrusco. Chill this dark, but light bodied red for 30 minutes and deploy at the picnic or barbecue.
