2023 Seabold "Eden Rift Vineyard" Pinot Noir

This wine is gorgeous. The previous vintage garnered 93 and 94 points from Wine Advocate and Jeb Dunnuck. This 2023 release may be even better.
Coming from the north slope of Eden Rift Vineyard, it has that wonderful cool-climate Pinot Noir character that we all love. Aromas of blue and red berries, fresh herbs, fresh flowers, and baking spices lead the way. All of this carries over to the palate, with flavors of blueberry, raspberry, cherry, cranberry, herbs de Provence, cinnamon, and a burst of minerality on the finish.
Plush and structured, with the unique microclimate adding acidity and a single new oak barrique out of five total French barrels, it perfectly balances playfulness and seriousness.
This is flat-out delicious. We love it so much that we stamped it with 93 Points on our conservative Vin Chicago scale. We can't help but wonder what Wine Advocate and Jeb Dunnuck would have awarded this vintage.
We are the first, and potentially the last, to offer this gorgeous 2023 Pinot. Looking online we found two listings for the 2021 vintage, both at $48. 2023 Seabold "Eden Rift Vineyard" Chardonnay

Another stunning wine from Chris Miller, this Chardonnay hails from a special block in the Eden Rift Vineyard. As with the Pinot, it earns a massive 93-Point Vin Chicago review.
Made from organically-farmed Wente clone vines, this is pinnacle California Chardonnay. Look for an expressive bouquet of butterscotch, tropical fruits, citrus, and white flowers atop a nutty, stony background. Taking a sip, we found hints of pineapple, green apple, white peach, Meyer lemon curd, creme caramel, vanilla, and oak spice. The flavors are nearly endless.
As with the Pinot Noir, the previous vintage earned huge scores, including 95 Points from Jeb and 93 Points from Wine Advocate. With the winery closing, we don't believe that samples of this 2023 beauty were submitted for review.
Mouthwatering in the best way, this 2023 Chardonnay is drinking great and, if you have the discipline to not drink it all now. will be so much fun to revisit a few years down the road. Chris really hit on all cylinders here.
